HAPPYPHONE ARCHITECTURE

How HappyPhone is put together

This page is our living sketch: the newest ideas at the top, and below it the whole structure of how we work with customers on one side and calling agents on the other to execute on a startup's ideas.

NEWEST IDEA · AT THE TOP

Extensions for every caller, via VoIP.ms

Idea from potaiterrr, who built the original HappyFone prototype: the prototype already accepts extensions, so use VoIP.ms as the voice provider. VoIP.ms lets us create unlimited sub-accounts, which means every caller gets their own dedicated extension credentials (for example 101, 102, and so on) to log into the dialer with.

Why it matters: each agent signs in as themselves, calls are tied to a real person, and we can add a new caller by creating one more sub-account instead of rebuilding anything. This is the login and voice layer the live dialer will plug into.

Status: idea, pinned at the top of this page while we sketch the rest of the structure below. Next step is wiring a first VoIP.ms sub-account to the web dialer and making a real test call.

Two sides, one platform in the middle

A startup brings the idea. HappyPhone turns it into calls. Trained calling agents make those calls with care. Everything below is how those three parts fit together.

SIDE ONE

Customers: the startups

  1. 1. Bring the idea. A startup tells us what they are building and who they need to reach: customers to interview, users to onboard, leads to follow up with.
  2. 2. Shape the campaign together. We turn the idea into a call brief: the goal of each call, a friendly script, the list of numbers, and what a good outcome looks like.
  3. 3. Hand over the list. Numbers arrive as a CSV or a Google Sheet, the same formats our dialer already loads.
  4. 4. Watch it happen. The customer sees calls made, outcomes, notes, and recordings, and can adjust the script or the list as results come in.
  5. 5. Pay for real work. Clear pricing for calling time and completed work, so the startup always knows what a call costs before we dial.
SIDE TWO

Calling agents: the HappyPhone crew

  1. 1. Apply and audition. Applicants join through Apply, pass a short paid audio test, and land on the Applicants board.
  2. 2. Get your extension. Each hired caller gets their own VoIP.ms sub-account and extension credentials (101, 102, and so on, per the idea at the top of this page).
  3. 3. Log in and go Available. The web dialer is the whole console: sign in with your extension, set your AUX status to Available, and your timer runs.
  4. 4. Work the list. The campaign call list is loaded for you. CALL, talk, hang up, write a quick wrap-up note, and the next number is already waiting.
  5. 5. Get paid, grow. Pay for your calling work, bonuses like the 5P first call bonus, coaching from the team, and first shot at new campaigns as you level up.

The platform in the middle

Six pieces hold the two sides together. Some are live today, some are the next builds, and this page will track which is which honestly.

📞

Voice layer

VoIP.ms sub-accounts and extensions for every caller, real phone numbers, and call routing. The piece that turns the demo dialer into real calls. Status: next build.

🖥️

The dialer

The web phone: AUX statuses with honest timers, keypad, call history, and whole call lists loaded from a CSV or a Google Sheet. Status: live in demo mode.

🎯

Campaign layer

Call briefs, scripts, number lists, schedules, and outcome codes, so a startup's idea becomes a campaign an agent can actually run. Status: first sketch, this page.

🛡️

Trust layer

Call recordings, wrap-up notes, and quality review, so customers can hear the work and agents get fair credit for it. Status: planned with the voice layer.

💸

Money layer

Customer billing for calling work, agent pay, and small joyful bonuses in PHP, like 5P for a first call. Status: pricing live on the home page, payouts growing with campaigns.

🌱

People layer

Applications, audio auditions, training, and coaching, run by our Agent Managers and the Happy Phone crew in Discord. Status: live, the applicants board is real people.

One campaign, end to end

How a startup's idea becomes finished calls, step by step:

1

Idea in

The startup explains the goal: who to call and what success sounds like.

2

Brief and script

We write the call brief and a warm, human script, and the customer approves it.

3

List loaded

Their numbers load into the dialer from a CSV or Google Sheet, checked and deduped.

4

Agents dial

Trained callers sign in on their extensions and work the list in the web dialer.

5

Outcomes logged

Every call gets a result, a note, and a recording the customer can review.

6

Results back

The startup gets the outcomes and recordings, and decides the next round.

7

Agents paid

Callers are paid for their work, bonuses included, and the crew levels up.

8

Iterate

Script and list improve with every round, and the next campaign starts smarter.

Honest status: this is a working sketch, not a finished system. The dialer, the applicants pipeline, and call list loading are live today. The VoIP.ms voice wiring is the next big build, and this page grows as the structure gets real.
